Not a facial. A clinical resurfacing treatment.
A salon facial works the surface with steam, pressure and a mask. A
Hydrafacial uses a vortex-fusion handpiece that loosens debris inside the
pore, vacuums it out, and pushes serum back in during the same pass.
Nothing is squeezed, so there is no trauma and no lingering redness. And
because extraction and hydration happen together, skin never goes through
the tight, stripped phase that follows a deep clean. That is why the result
shows the same day rather than three days later.
Every session is built around your skin. Serums, exfoliation level and the
finishing mask are chosen after we look at you — congested oily skin in
Mumbai’s humidity needs a different protocol from skin that has been
dehydrating under air conditioning.

What it helps with
- Dull, tired skinClears the dead-cell build-up that flattens the skin’s reflectivity.
- Congestion and blackheadsVacuum extraction across nose, chin and forehead, with no squeezing.
- DehydrationHyaluronic acid and peptides infused during treatment, not layered on after.
- Enlarged poresRegular sessions reduce the stretching effect of trapped sebum.
- Uneven toneBrightening boosters work on sun exposure and post-acne marks over a course.
- Rough texture, fine linesGentle resurfacing smooths texture without any peeling afterwards.
Not suitable if you have an active skin infection, open wounds,
inflamed cystic acne, or recent sunburn on the area. We will say so at consultation
and suggest what would work better.
Hydrafacial vs a salon facial

How it works
-
Skin assessment
We look at your skin, ask about history, products and active concerns, then choose the protocol and boosters.
-
Cleanse and exfoliate
The vortex handpiece lifts dead cells while a mild resurfacing solution loosens what sits in the pores.
-
Painless extraction
Controlled suction draws out blackheads and sebum. Most clients find it oddly satisfying rather than uncomfortable.
-
Serum infusion
Antioxidants, peptides and hyaluronic acid go into freshly cleared skin — brightening, calming or hydrating, as needed.
-
LED and mask
Blue LED for acne-prone skin, red for ageing or inflamed skin, then a mask matched to your type.
-
Sunscreen, and out
Moisturiser and sunscreen to finish. No peeling, nothing to hide, and makeup is fine the same evening.
Post-care instructions
The treatment does the work. These few days decide how long it lasts.
- Sunscreen every morning, reapplied if you are outdoors. Freshly resurfaced skin pigments faster.
- No steam, sauna, pool or heavy workout for 24 hours.
- No retinol, AHAs, BHAs or vitamin C for 48 hours — plain cleanser and moisturiser only.
- No waxing or threading on the treated area for 48 hours.
- Skip makeup for the rest of the day. From next morning it is fine.
- Mild flushing for an hour or two is normal. Anything beyond that, call the clinic.
How often: monthly keeps skin in good condition. For active
pigmentation or congestion we may start closer together, then space it out. Before
an event, book 3–5 days ahead rather than the day before.

Hydrafacial FAQs
Does a Hydrafacial hurt?
No. There is no needling, no squeezing and no heat. Most people describe it as a cool, slightly tugging sensation — one of the few clinical treatments you can relax through.
How soon will I see results?
Immediately. Skin looks brighter and feels smoother as soon as the session ends, which is why it is popular before events. The hydration holds for around five to seven days; texture improvements build with regular sessions.
How many sessions do I need?
One gives a visible glow. For congestion, pigmentation or texture, four to six monthly sessions produce a lasting change. After that, monthly maintenance is enough for most people.
Can I have one if I have acne?
Usually yes, and it often helps — clearing congestion removes the fuel for breakouts. We avoid it over inflamed cysts or infected lesions and would treat the acne first. That call is made at consultation.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes. Exfoliation level and serums are adjustable, so the protocol for reactive skin is far gentler than standard. Tell us about rosacea, eczema or any history of reacting to actives.
How is this different from a salon facial?
A salon facial cleans the surface manually using steam and pressure. A Hydrafacial uses a medical-grade vortex system that extracts and hydrates at once, performed by trained clinicians under medical supervision. Deeper, more consistent, and it does not leave skin irritated.
Can I have it before a wedding or a shoot?
Yes, and many of our Juhu and Vile Parle clients do. Book three to five days before rather than the day before — skin looks good immediately, but that buffer lets everything settle.
